Two exhibitions open in September at Proyectos Monclova. In Interrupted Images,  you'll see the geometric art of Uruguayan artist  Guillermo García Cruz, whose work revisits the role of 20th-century historical movements such as concrete art and the Madí movement to create an abstract style that relates to current technology and the digital world.

Meanwhile,  Sculptural Evocations brings together sculptures and paintings that Manuel Felguérez created during his later period (1980-2015). The artist from Zacatecas is  one of the most important figures in modern Mexican art and a member of the Generación de la Ruptura (Breakaway Generation).  

This exhibition comprises three sets of sculptures and five paintings that the artist produced in the 1980s. The pieces range from geometric to more organic forms, thus reflecting the different stages in his artistic expression.
