The Siqueiros Public Art Gallery inaugurates Floresta, a collective exhibition that brings together the work of contemporary artists in dialogue with the legacy of David Alfaro Siqueiros, based on reflections on nature, territory and memory.

Floresta also brings together painting, sculpture, photography and video by artists such as Alejandra Venegas, Lorena Ancona, Melanie Smith, Galia Eibenschutz and Scott Galván, among others.
Through sculptural dresses crafted from endemic Yucatecan materials and industrial waste, the artist constructs a suspended environment of chrysalides and vestiges that engages with regenerative fashion and the sedimented layers of collective memory. The pieces will be activated through performance art during the exhibition, further exploring the relationship between body, territory, and life.

Floresta reúne además pintura, escultura, fotografía y video de artistas como Alejandra Venegas, Lorena Ancona, Melanie Smith, Galia Eibenschutz y Scott Galván, entre otros.
A través de vestidos escultóricos elaborados con materiales endémicos de Yucatán y residuos industriales, el artista construye un entorno suspendido de crisálidas y vestigios que dialoga con la moda regenerativa y las capas sedimentadas de la memoria colectiva. Las piezas serán activadas mediante acciones performáticas durante la exposición, ampliando la reflexión sobre la relación entre cuerpo, territorio y vida.
