The University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) has launched a new digital interface. This tool allows users to explore its vast collection publicly and free of charge. Hosted at coleccionmuac.unam.mx, the platform offers initial access to more than 2,200 works. Over 400 different artists participate in this virtual space. The archive safeguards the visual memory of art in Mexico since 1952.
The museum designed this resource for both the general public and specialists. Each piece has an extensive photographic record and detailed technical information. Some works stand out for including commentary and previously unpublished materials of great value.

The interface uses global cataloging standards and controlled vocabularies. The system connects its terms with thesauri from the Getty Research Institute and Tate Modern. The development of the digital ecosystem was supported by the Institute of Aesthetic Research. In its second phase, the system will add exhibition histories and historiographical concepts.
