MEXICO CITY, August 20 (EL UNIVERSAL).— Art never stops in Mexico City, and this September brings GAMA Week 2025, where galleries will showcase their strongest proposals.
“GAMA Week seeks to strengthen the city’s artistic network and to encourage gallery visits as a regular activity,” said gallerist Andrea Walther, from ETHRA Gallery and member of the Mexican Associated Art Galleries (GAMA).
From September 4 to 7, three routes will be organized to visit exhibitions across 25 galleries, covering 10,000 square meters of art.
The first route, Juárez–Roma–Centro, includes 13 galleries: Arróniz, ETHRA, Galería Hilario Galguera, Galería Karen Huber, MAIA Contemporary, Galería Mascota, N.A.S.A.L., Nordenhake, OMR, Proyecto H, Proyecto Paralelo, Terreno Baldío, and Travesía Cuatro.
Highlights include Todo este tiempo, toda esta pintura, presented by Galería Karen Huber (Av. Bucareli 120, Juárez), celebrating its 11th anniversary with works by Ad Minoliti, Ana Segovia, Carolina Fusilier, Edgar Cobián, among others.
At Proyecto Paralelo (Varsovia 33, Juárez), Jan Hendrix’s work is featured in Lessons in Printmaking. On September 6 at 1:00 pm, the artist will offer a guided tour. That same day, at 12:00 pm, Boris Viskin will give a talk about his exhibition Tres Tristes Tigres at ETHRA Gallery (Londres 54, Juárez).
The second route, San Miguel Chapultepec, brings together Enrique Guerrero, GAM, kurimanzutto, LABOR, Le Laboratoire, Patricia Conde Galería, RGR, and Saenger Galería.
Highlights include works by Gego at RGR (Gral. Antonio León 48); the presentation of Gerardo Nigenda’s book Trialogue at Patricia Conde Galería (Gral. Juan Cano 68), along with the photography exhibition Mexico: From the Center to the Wound, featuring images by Sonia Madrigal, Yael Martínez, and Francisco Mata Rosas. At kurimanzutto (Gobernador Rafael Rebollar 94), visitors can see the exhibition Living in Art by Argentine artist Marta Minujín.
The third route, Polanco, includes CAM Galería, Galería Oscar Román, L/S Galería, and Proyectos Monclova Gallery.
At L/S Galería (Ibsen 32/A), the exhibition What If She Hadn’t presents works by Arnaldo Coen, Pedro Coronel, Leonora Carrington, Rufino Tamayo, Vicente Rojo, and Francisco Toledo. Meanwhile, Galería Oscar Román (Julio Verne 14) is showing works by Alice Rahon, Armando Brito, Gabriel Macotela, and Jazzamoart.

"GAMA Week busca fortalecer la red artística de la ciudad y promover la visita de las galerías de manera cotidiana", afirmó la galerista Andrea Walther, de la galería ETHRA y miembro de Galerías de Arte Mexicanas Asociadas.
Del 4 al 7 de septiembre se organizarán tres rutas para ver exposiciones en 25 galerías, que equivalen a 10 mil metros cuadrados de arte.
La primera ruta es Juárez-Roma-Centro, conformada por 13 galerías: Arróniz, ETHRA, Galería Hilario Galguera, Galería Karen Huber, MAIA Contemporary, Galería Mascota, N.A.S.A.L., Nordenhake, OMR, Proyecto H, Proyecto Paralelo, Terreno Baldío y Travesía Cuatro.
De este grupo destaca la muestra Todo este tiempo, toda esta pintura, con la que la Galería Karen Huber (Av. Bucareli 120, col. Juárez) celebra su aniversario 11 con obras de Ad Minoliti, Ana Segovia, Carolina Fusilier, Edgar Cobián, entre otros artistas.
El arte de Jan Hendrix participa en Lessons in printmaking en la galería Proyecto Paralelo (Varsovia 33, col. Juárez). El 6 de septiembre, a las 13:00 horas, el artista ofrecerá un recorrido guiado. Ese día, a las 12 horas, Boris Viskin dará una charla por su exposición Tres Tristes Tigres en la galería ETHRA (Londres 54, col. Juárez).
La segunda ruta es en San Miguel Chapultepec, donde participan las galerías Enrique Guerrero, GAM, kurimanzutto, LABOR, Le Laboratoire, Patricia Conde Galería, RGR y Saenger Galería. Aquí se podrá ver arte de Gego en la galería RGR (Gral. Antonio León 48); se presentará el libro Triálogo, de Gerardo Nigenda, en Patricia Conde Galería (Gral. Juan Cano 68), donde también se presentará la muestra fotográfica México: desde el centro hasta la herida, con imágenes de Sonia Madrigal, Yael Martínez y Francisco Mata Rosas. El arte de la argentina Marta Minujin se podrá ver en la muestra Vivir en arte, en kurimanzutto (Gobernador Rafael Rebollar 94).
La tercera ruta es Polanco, con CAM Galería, Galería Oscar Román, L/S Galería y Proyectos Monclova Gallery. Se presenta obra de Arnaldo Coen, Pedro Coronel, Leonora Carrington, Rufino Tamayo, Vicente Rojo y Francisco Toledo, que forma parte de la muestra "What If She Hadn’t, en L/S Galería (Ibsen 32/A). El arte de Alice Rahon, Armando Brito, Gabriel Macotela y Jazzamoart se exhibirá en la Galería Oscar Román (Julio Verne 14).
